About Camper Explorer
While changing jobs in 2024 I had a bit more free time on my hands when a friend told me he had just spent a week on holiday in a camper for only €100. Being very flexible on dates, I started checking Roadsurfer's site regularly for available deals, but quickly got frustrated by the lack of filtering options. I figured I could do better, and built the first version of this website.
About Me
Hi, I'm Martin! My day job is software engineering, and I'm into technology of all kinds. In my free time I like being outdoors. The photo on the right was taken during a one-way trip through Slovenia that I booked through this tool.
Anti-Enshittification Promise
“Enshittification” describes how good products slowly get worse. That is not the plan here. Four promises:
No ads, no marketing emails
No paid advertising on this site. Ever. No newsletter, and no other annoying emails.
Your data stays yours
We store only the bare minimum of data, and we don't pass it on. No invasive analytics tools, no Google Analytics. (Even though that's bad for SEO.)
The free plan stays usable
The free version will stay as it is today. No sign-up required.
Transparent pricing, easy exit
Clear prices, shown including local taxes, and easy cancellation right in the app.
